All the Pieces of Me is a 32-page hardcover children’s book created as my BFA senior thesis project. Through illustration, storytelling, and hand-drawn calligraphy, I explored how visual elements and typography can work together to create an immersive narrative experience, making the words themselves a part of the artwork.

The story follows a child who wakes up with the feeling that something is missing, only to discover an identical twin staring back at them. As the child searches for answers, they encounter a series of animal characters who warn them away from their twin, claiming she represents all the traits they should hide or reject. However, the child learns that this missing piece is an essential part of who they are.

Through their reunion, the story explores themes of self-acceptance, identity, and embracing the complexity of being human. All the Pieces of Me celebrates the idea that both our strengths and imperfections shape who we are, and that we do not need to be perfect to be whole.
